iGoogle Themes Whaaa?

June 27, 20071 Comment

I’ve seen a lot of cool custom portals out there, but I’m loving the new iGoogle themes!

My favourite is the “Bus Stop” theme! Especially with all the crazy up and down weather we’ve been getting here in Calgary; when its raning, the image changes and the characters even have their rain gear on! hil-ar-i-ous!

iGoogle has been around for a while I guess you can say. I love the ajax’d tabs which allow users to reposition tabs by simply clicking and dragging. Its a great rss reader and even displays upto 9 of your latest gmails.

I have been trying to find a good resource that explains how to customize my igoogle theme, but haven’t found anything useful. If you do find a resource about customizing your igoogle theme, write a comment on this post.

Update: I’ve been getting at lot of hits probably looking for tips on how to create a custom igoogle theme, so I thought I post a snippet from google’s answer pages,

“We currently offer six themes. At this time, we don’t offer a method for modifying our themes, or for creating or installing custom themes. We hope to expand our iGoogle themes feature in the future, so please check back soon.”
