The Extech i5 is an infrared camera geared for home inspectors and electricians in the home building and building sciences industries.
I first came across the Extech i5 when I was researching how to convert my digital camera into an infrared camera a couple of weeks ago and discovered 2 entry level infrared cameras; the Extech i5 and the new FLIR i7 infrared camera. Both products are perfect for my needs, but like I mentioned earlier, they are marketed for first time infrared camera users in the home inspection and electrical industry.
In my research, I discovered many online retailers selling the Extech i5 infrared camera.

One of the best things about the Extech i5 is the price point; at only $1995 US, there’s no reason why a home inspector or electrician should do without one of these in their tool box. If you’re looking for an entry level infrared camera, I highly recommend learning more about the Extech i5!
