So recently I learned more about Twitter, a Social Networking and Micro-Blogging service which basically allows users to post updates about whatever they’re doing at any given moment using SMS (that’s right, your cell phone), Instant Messaging, Email, on Twitter.com directly or by using an application called, Twitterific.
Well, before I actually searched for more information about Twitter, I did what any person would do just learning about a new dot com, (address bar, and typed in: twitter.com, of course :P).
My first impression was that it looked like a super simplified version of facebook; basically a social networking web site that gives you the ability to update what I think to be a combination of facebook’s “the wall” and your “status”. I guess if you’re really into posting messages on your friend’s walls or checking out theirs and updating your status anytime something new happens throughout your day, then this social networking service is definitely for you.
Never the less, Twitter provides a quick and easy blogging service, aka Micro-Blogging, there’s no writing paragraphs or telling stories; you post about your day and then you’re day becomes the story :). So basically if you’re really busy and don’t have time to open your laptop and make a fully pimped out post about your full day, let your friends know about what happens in your day with Twitter!
Oh BTW, it does give a backlink to your website, but no link-text though.
