Twitter, Social Networking and Micro-Blogging

So recently I learned more about Twitter, a Social Networking and Micro-Blogging service which basically allows users to post updates about whatever they’re doing at any given moment using SMS (that’s right, your cell phone), Instant Messaging, Email, on Twitter.com directly or by using an application called, Twitterific.

Well, before I actually searched for more information about Twitter, I did what any person would do just learning about a new dot com, (address bar, and typed in: twitter.com, of course :P).

Transformers the Movie

The Transformers movie 2007 was officially released yesterday, July 4th. this Michael Bay movie has received a lot of publicity and I myself have done a lot of research on it because of all the excitement around!

iPhone Web Development Limitations

With the launch of the new Apple iPhone, there’s been a lot of discussion about how this is going to affect our web development efforts in the future. G4TV.com recently published a nice little article about the web development specifications, or rather the limitations, of viewing web sites on this full web browsing capable handheld device:

SEO Experiment: “transformers the movie”

I remember Transformers growing up; it was actually my favourite cartoon. I remember the time when the original series (Transformers G1 or First Generation) wasn’t being produced anymore – a sad, sad day I tell you.

iGoogle Themes Whaaa?

I’ve seen a lot of cool custom portals out there, but I’m loving the new iGoogle themes! My favourite is the “Bus Stop” theme! Especially with all the crazy up and down weather we’ve been…

Social Networking & Social Media Optimization

Last week, Search Engine Watch contributor, Eric Enge, published an article, “Finding Success in Social Media“, listing out some Social Media websites and discussing how great they are for reputation management and how they can help your organic search engine rankings. Having been in the Search Marketing industry for several years, the buzz in the Canadian market as far as Search Engine Optimization goes, is that we’re behind the US and Europe. However, I believe as we expose more people and customers to the power of Search Engine Optimization and Marketing (PPC Campaigns, etc) and with the help of these social media networks, I’m sure we wont be far behind for much longer.

The Coolest E-Card Ever!

ok ok, so I know you’re probably wondering how cool an e-card can actually be that compelled me to have to write an entire post about it; me too kinda…but no.

So here’s the scenario, I’m on www.break.com, you know watching contributed videos people have posted online. I dont know about you, but I still click those banner ads once in a while if it looks interesting (and by that I mean, (a) its not a scam and (b) i could actially learn something or benefit from it). So there’s this 320px by 200px ad with this girl drawing light messages (you know when you take a flash light in really dark place and move it around really fast to write letters or draw stuff? thats what she was doing!) then the tag line said, “send your mom a mother’s day e-card”… curious, I clicked the ad and omg this thing is sooo cool!

Ruby on Rails

Ruby on Rails (aka RoR or rails) is one of the hottest Internet technologies in 2007. It’s a web application framework (or what I like to say, its a web development platform) that has a library of pretty much every open source web language out there; hmmm, it even supports C#, thats right Microsoft ASP.NET developers, this means you! how considerate of them!
